山本 朱里

こんにちは、山本朱里です。
私も他のアシスタントの方々と同様に小学校2年生から高校３年生まで生徒としてKidsaurusに通っていました。現在は、立命館宇治高校を卒業し、立命館大学文学部国際コミュニケーション学域で、英語教育に必要な知識や技術を学んでいます。
高校1年生の時にオーストラリアへ留学をしました。そこで日本の英語教育と他国の英語教育の差を実感し、グローバル化が進む社会で英語を学ぶ楽しさや必要性を子供たちに知ってほしいと思うようになりました。
私はKidsaurusで初めて外国の文化や英語の楽しさを知り、サイモン先生がしてくれるいろんな話が、世界に飛び出てみたいと考えるきっかけになりました。キッザウルスでは英語をただ学ぶのではなく、ゲームや会話を通じて、おもいっきり楽しみながら英語に触れることができます。
生徒たちがおもいっきり楽しみながら英語を学べる場所作りをサポートしていきます！

スコウ 黎大（レオ）

Hello my name is Leo Schouw and I am a first year student at Doshisha University. I am half Danish and half Japanese and have been speaking English my whole life. Some of my hobbies include fencing, running, gyming and biking. I was born in Tokyo and was there for 5 years then moved to Iwate Prefecture for 1 year. Then I moved to London in 2010 and lived there for another 6 years. Next, I moved to Copenhagen for a year then moved back to Tokyo in 2017 and recently moved to Kyoto to attend Doshisha University in April 2023.
Previously I helped teach Japanese children at an American summer camp in Tokyo for 2 summers in 2021 and 2022. I’m excited to be working with all the kids.

こんにちは、スコウ 黎大（レオ）です。 同志社大学の1年生です。 デンマーク人と日本人のハーフで、これまでずっと英語を話してきました。 趣味はフェンシング、ランニング、ジム、サイクリングなどです。 東京で生まれ、東京に5年間住んでから、1年間岩手県で過ごしました。その後ロンドンで6年間、コペンハーゲンに1年間住み、2017年に東京に戻りました。今は同志社大学に通っています。
私は2021 年と 2022 年に東京で行われたアメリカ系のサマーキャンプで日本の子供たちに英語を教えた経験があります。

Joshua Irawan

Hello, my name is Joshua Irawan. I am from Indonesia.

I came to Japan in 2022 and am now a Graduate Student at Kyoto University. My hobbies include film (analog) photography and playing football (soccer). My favorite football team is Arsenal, a football team from London, UK. 

As an international student in Japan, I realize the importance of understanding a common spoken language besides understanding the local language. For me, the most universal language to learn is English, which I use every day here, besides Japanese.  Because of that, I want to share and teach kids to learn English. 

Learning a new language is like playing a game. It might be a little tricky at first, but you will master it with practice. It is important to get used to speaking and reading in English daily so we can use it confidently. That is why I would like to help and teach at Kidsaurus, as they highlight the importance of speaking English conversationally through engaging activities. This also aligns with what I think that children learn best through exciting and interactive methods. Thus, making it ideal for me to contribute and join the team.

はじめまして、ジョシュア イラワンです。私はインドネシア出身です。2022年に来日し、現在は京都大学の大学院生です。趣味はフィルム写真を撮ることとサッカーです。好きなサッカーチームは、イギリスのロンドンのサッカーチーム、アーセナルです。

留学生として日本で過ごす中で、現地の言葉を理解すると同時に、共通の話し言葉を理解することの大切さを実感しました。私は日本語の他に、英語を毎日話す中で、子どもたちにも英語の楽しさを伝え、教えたいと思っています。

新しい言語を学ぶことはゲームをするようなものです。最初は少し難しいかもしれませんが、練習すれば必ずできるようになります。自信を持って英語を使えるようになるためには、毎日英語で話したり読んだりして英語に慣れることが大切です。Kidsaurusではさまざまな楽しいアクティビティを通じて英会話を学ぶことができます。「英語を学ぶのは楽しい」ということを伝えられるよう、精一杯頑張ります。よろしくお願いします！

Umasha Wickramasinghe

Hello, my name is Umasha Wickramasinghe and I am from Sri Lanka.

I moved to Japan to pursue my master’s degree in Informatics. Alongside my studies, I have been working as an Assistant Teacher at Kidsaurus English Language Institute. Having worked with children as a teacher since 2016 and with experience in international relations,I’ve grown passionate about guiding young minds and helping them grow in a supportive environment.

I believe learning English opens up many doors, especially in international environments. As someone living in Japan, I understand the value of learning a common language that connects people from different cultures. English, being a universal language, is not only practical but also fun to learn.

At Kidsaurus, we emphasize learning English through exciting activities that make children eager to participate. This interactive approach aligns with my belief that kids absorb the most when learning is enjoyable and dynamic. I’m thrilled to be part of a team that fosters this positive experience for children, and I look forward to helping them build their confidence in speaking English every day.

Learning a new language may seem challenging at first, but with consistent practice and a fun approach, it becomes much easier. Let’s make English learning an exciting adventure together at Kidsaurus!

はじめまして！ウマーシャ・ウィクラマシンヘです。スリランカ出身です。

情報学の修士号を取得するために来日し、 学業と並行して、キッズウルスでアシスタント講師として働いています。 2016年から教師の経験があり、国際関係の経験もあります。サポートし合える環境で子供たちの成長を助けることを大切にしています。

英語を学ぶことは、特に国際的な環境において、多くの扉を開くと思っています。 日本に住む者として、異なる文化を持つ人々をつなぐ共通語を学ぶことの価値を実感しました。 世界共通語である英語は、実用的であるだけでなく、楽しく学ぶことができます。

キッズウルスでは、子どもたちが全力で楽しめるアクティビティを通して英語を学ぶことを大切にしています。 子供達が積極的に参加し学習に取り組めるキッザウルスは、私の信念である、「子供達は学習が楽しく生き生きしたものであれば多くのことを吸収する」というものとピッタリです。子どもたちにとってこのようなポジティブな経験を育むチームの一員になれることを嬉しく思いますし、子どもたちが英語を話すことに自信を持てるよう、毎日お手伝いできることを楽しみにしています。

新しい言語を学ぶことは、最初は難しく感じるかもしれませんが、日々の練習と楽しいゲームによって、とても簡単になります。 キッザウルスで一緒に英語学習をワクワクする冒険にしましょう！よろしくお願いします！
